Man abused eldest son of former girlfriend
Rearrested by Kyoto Prefectural Police on charges of causing injury

On February 16th, Kyoto Prefectural Police rearrested the suspect Kazuki Hamada (31, Unemployed, Shimamoto-Cho, Osaka) who is facing trial on a separate charge because he abused his former girlfriend's son and inflicted serious bodily harm. He has confessed to the charge.

It is alleged that at his ex-girlfriend's home in Uji City last April the defendant Hamada knocked and kicked the 11-year-old's chest and broke his ribs. It required about 2 months for a complete recovery from the injuries. Because the suspect Hamada abused the victim in August of last year too, he had already been arrested and prosecuted in December.
