A powerful drug was mixed with eyewash
On January 26th, it was revealed that the Fukushima Prefecture Police Tanakura Station had arrested suspect Tamotsu Ito (48, truck driver, Hatajuku Ohkubo, Shirakawa City, Fukushima Prefecture) on a charge causing serious bodily harm to his girlfriend's son (5) by applying eye lotion mixed with a powerful drug to her son's eye. The alleged crime occurred between April and December of last year. The suspect had his girlfriend in her twenties apply eye lotion to her son. She did not notice that strong battery acid liquid had been mixed into the eye lotion. The arrest was carried out on the 25th.
The police reported that the son's eyesight had greatly decreased and the suspect Ito had confessed that he had applied eye lotion several times together with his girlfriend, the boy's mother. He also claimed to have said the son was not at all cute.
