A mother's former partner was arrested on the suspicion of murder and abandonment of her daughter in Shimonoseki City because of evidence discovered from confiscated material.
In the case that Rio Matsubara (6) who was the preschooler daughter of Naoko Matsubara (30) who lived on the second floor of the apartment was found last November dead in the street gutter at the side of the apartment (which was in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture), the Yamaguchi Prefecture Police Shimonoseki station investigation headquarters arrested the suspect Tadashi Kyo (27) (company employee, Koyo-cho, Shimonoseki City) on the 27th on the suspicion of homicide and illegal disposal of a body.
The suspect Kyo was the former partner of Ms. Matsubara, was arrested on the suspicion of assaulting Ms. Matsubara last September and he was under a stay-away order based on the domestic violence prevention law.
