Prior to the arrest of a man in his twenties on suspicion of murder & abandonment of the daughter of his former partner, police conducted a search of his house in Shimonoseki City.
In last November, Rio Matsubara (a 6 year old of preschooler girl) who was a daughter of Naoko Matsubara (30) who lived on the second floor of the apartment (which is in Hikoshima-Fukuura-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture) was found being strangled to death in the street gutter at the side of the apartment. The investigation headquarters of the Shimonoseki Police Department began the questioning of a man in his twenties who had been a partner of Ms. Matsubara on the 24th of this month. The police are searching several locations such as the man's home on the suspicion of homicide and illegal disposal of a body, and are urgently seeking evidence to support the suspect's arrest.
