The Kanagawa Prefecture Police arrested a mother's partner on suspicion of causing injury resulting in the death of her eldest son of 1 year and nine months.

On February 15th, the Kanagawa Prefecture Hiratsuka Precinct Police arrested the suspect Hiroki Maetsuji (42) (Real estate company employee, Tokunobu, Hiratsuka-City, Kanagawa Prefecture), on suspicion of violence causing death in November, 2009 to a 1 year and 9 month child who was the eldest son of the woman whom he associated with.
According to the Hiratsuka Precinct Police, he denies the suspicion, that is, he said that he hadn't committed any violence. However, the body of the eldest son has multiple bruises and the Precinct Police are investigating the possibility that the suspect, Maetsuji, abused the victim routinely.
