The Osaka Prefecture Police arrested a 26-year old man on suspicion of having broken bones in both legs of his common law wife's eldest son.
The Osaka Prefecture Police arrested the accused M. Imoto (26), unemployed, on January 11th. He was arrested for violence to his common law wife's eldest son (3). He fractured both her son's legs.
He says that he gave a turning kick to the eldest son because the son didn't say "itadakimasu" before dinar. And he has admitted to the charge.
Police believe he kicked his wife's son's legs at home about July 3rd last year. The son was two years old at that time and bones in both thighs were broken.
According to Osaka Prefecture Police, it is thought that the common law wife's eldest son and eldest daughter (5) had been maltreated daily. In July, 2009, a nearby resident informed Sakai City that a child's yelling could be heard in the middle of the night. The Child Guidance Center confirmed bruising to the brother and sister through a home visit, it placed them under temporary protection and put them in a nursery school.
The accused Imoto had been living in his common law wife's house since last June. Four people were living together in the house when this incident occurred.
