Mother's de facto husband strips 4-year-old boy completely and leaves him on balcony and he was arrested on a charge of causing injury.

On April 2nd, the Osaka Prefecture Izumi Police Department arrested the suspect Yoshiyuki Suzuki (41), who is a guard living in Hiko-cho, Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture, on a charge of causing injury to the boy by rough scratching him with a backscratcher. According to the Police, the suspect Suzuki stripped the victim completely and left him on the balcony after he had injured him. The Police suspect that the suspect Suzuki's abuse had become a regular occurrence, and are investigating the abuse in detail.

The suspect Suzuki admits the charge saying "I intended to train him and did. I hit him by hand at first, but later the backscratcher was more effective.

It is alleged that the suspect committed violence against the son resulting in injuries which needed about 2 weeks for recover. The abuse included scratching his buttocks and thigh with the backscratcher and beating the victim's head with his hand in the apartment of his de facto wife (26) in Izumi City between February 5th and 12th.

According to the Police, the suspect Suzuki was angry because the son hadn't clean the on the 12th of that month, and sent him to the balcony. The suspect allowed him to returns to the room, but committed violence against him and stripped him completely and left him on the balcony again because he did not eat supper. The neighboring inhabitants who heard the crying of the son phoned the Police.

According to the Police, from about last October the suspect Suzuki and his de facto wife were renting separate apartments in the same block, but they had been practically living together.

According to a friend of the wife's, the suspect Suzuki was irritated with the son because of trivial matters like hating a bath, and beat him. "I had warned him that he was overdoing it", she said.

According to Izumi City, the health center had been consulted last December by the de facto wife about the child care of her son, but the center did not recognize the abuse until the prefectural Police reported it on February 13th.
